Trailblazer Music Project is brought to you by SoCo Music Project and Winnall Rock School and is supported by Winchester City Council and Youth Music.

The Trailblazer Music Project will give young people the opportunity to learn, discover, explore and perform music in a series of taster sessions across the district, with a focus on rural communities. These taster sessions will take place in South Wonston/Kings Worthy, Stanmore, Wickham/Swanmore, Colden Common, Alresford & Winnall. This will then lead to regular music-making opportunities in some of these areas, with the aim of providing an opportunity to develop music-making in other areas.

This exciting project will also see the sharing of best practice between SoCo Music Project and Winnall Rock School, music industry events that will highlight career progression in the music sector and performance opportunities for young people at community events and festivals.

The commission is an exciting partnership between Winnall Rock School, who have a wealth of experience in running group music-making activities in local communities, and SoCo Music Project, who have an excellent track record in creating and leading activities that are relevant to young people, inspiring and motivating them to achieve their aspirations.
